Julian discovered astrology in 1988 when he had his first horoscope reading in his hometown of Brighton & Hove in England. The spirit of discovering how the planets influenced his life launched him towards finding out more and he would often be found reading astrology books or doing charts for friends. In 2002 whilst attending classes with a sussex based group of astrologers he realised he could make astrology his central life direction. In 2004 he enrolled with the Faculty of Astrological studies and did his professional training through them, gaining the Certificate in 2006. This included 5 consecutive summer schools at Oxford university where he was lectured to by  some of the worlds leading astrologers including Rob Hand, Liz Greene and Bernadtte Brady. In 2007 he attended Deborah Houlding's Horary course at a week long residential retreat in Kent in the UK.

Julian has learnt much through attending the weekly meetings of the Astrological Lodge of London at the Theosophy society in London. He has served twice on the committee in 2006 and 2008 and written for the Astrology Quaterly magazine.  In 2008, Julian was invited to the FAA conference in Sydney, Australia where he gave two lectures on the fixed stars of Regulus and Antares. Since then he has presented the lectures in London, New York, Atlanta, Asheville.

During his time in Australia Julian wrote the Midpoint Interpretations for Solar fire Gold astrology software by Esoteric Technologies and was a contributing horoscope writer for the "New Woman Astro Diary 2008."
